Some 800,000 families participating in the Progresando con Solidaridad (Prosoli) program will be trained on consumer rights, through an agreement signed between the Vice Presidency of the Republic and the National Institute for the Protection of Consumer Rights (Pro Consumidor) Through the Alliance against Poverty.

The firm, headed by the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Margarita Cedeño; And the executive director of Pro Consumidor, Anina Del Castillo, establishes that Prosoli families will receive educational workshops in order to encourage reliable, safe and quality purchases in the establishments that make up the Social Supply Network (RAS) Of their rights.

Also, didactic programs, internships, lectures on subjects established in Law 358-05 of Consumer Protection in favor of the participants of Prosoli, with the aim of promoting an empowerment over their duties and rights in the field of consumption.

The director of Pro Consumidor appreciated the success of the social policies implemented by the Government, which in her opinion have achieved important development with the aim of transforming thousands of lives.

“The exercise of the defense of the rights of consumers, rights that on this occasion will be reflected in a segment of the population that for us is highly important, because it is the most vulnerable population in the country, and that the Vice President of the Republic has been a great ally, “he said.

He said that the institution he runs will accompany the Social Subsidies Administrator (Adess) in the orientation and supervision of the more than five thousand commercial establishments that make up the RAS to guarantee the rights of Prosoli families who make purchases through the card Progressing with Solidarity.

“With this opportunity and this contribution we are going to make from Pro Consumidor, we add a rights approach that contribute to making citizenship under the protection of your achievements, from the Social Policy Cabinet,” he said.
